HVAC service in Mexia and Groesbeck, TX

A system that stops cooling or heating usually gives some warning first. Catching those signs early can mean a simpler repair and fewer uncomfortable days.

Total Trades Heating and Air Conditioning provides HVAC repair, maintenance, and replacement for homes and businesses in Mexia, Groesbeck, and the rest of Limestone County.

Simple checks before you call

If the system isn't working, these quick checks can help you describe the problem. Don't open the equipment yourself.

• Make sure the thermostat is set to the right mode and temperature, and that it has power.
• Check whether the breaker for the system has tripped.
• Look at the air filter. A very dirty filter restricts airflow.
• Make sure vents are open and nothing blocks the outdoor unit.
• Note any sounds, smells, or error messages, and when the problem started.

If those checks don't solve it, call us and tell us what you saw. That gives us a better starting point.

Signs it's time to call

• Warm air coming from the vents.
• Weak airflow or rooms that stay uncomfortable.
• A system that turns on and off quickly.
• A furnace or heat pump that won't start.
• Higher energy bills with no change in how you use the system.

Maintenance and replacement

Seasonal maintenance helps the system run reliably, and it gives us a chance to point out wear before it becomes a failure. If the system is old or repair costs are climbing, we can go over replacement options. Financing may be available through JB Financing and Wells Fargo.

New construction and commercial service

We also help plan HVAC for new construction, remodels, and additions, and we service commercial properties. See our commercial HVAC page for details.

HVAC services we provide

• AC repair for systems that blow warm air, run weakly, or stop working.
• Heating repair for furnaces and heat pumps that won't warm the building.
• System replacement when repairs no longer make sense.
• Commercial HVAC for shops, offices, and other business properties.
